It’s no secret that over here at Modern Loss we love a good grief tome; and even more so when it’s full of resonant and humorous art. That’s why we’re so excited about Tyler Feder’s new graphic memoir, ‘Dancing at the Pity Party,’ which takes us through everything from her mother’s first oncology appointment to struggling to make sense of dead mom life (the sting of that I’ve got to tell Mom about this….oh, wait roller coaster resonate with anyone else, sigh?).

The above have been excerpted from “Dancing at The Pity Party” by Tyler Feder (Dial Books, April 2020).
