Please join Modern Loss at the Producers Club on Wednesday, October 29 at 7 pm. We’ll be screening the new indie dark comedy about grief, “The Widowers,” followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers from Charred Oak Films and drinks at the bar.
The film follows 30-something best friends Jake and Jonathan, who find themselves at a grief retreat for young widowers in Upstate New York after suddenly losing their wives in an accident. Once there, they confront the messy, open-ended process that is true grieving. Fully self-financed by Charred Oak, “The Widowers” recently won “Best Narrative Feature” at the Chain NYC Film Festival. Nothing but the best for you, dear readers.
